A senior move is usually a downsizing move, and downsizing is emotional work before it is logistical work. Forty years in one house does not reduce to a two-bedroom villa without a lot of decisions, and those decisions should not be made with a crew standing in the doorway waiting.
We schedule these moves with more time than the furniture strictly requires. Crews are briefed to work at the client's pace, to ask before moving anything, and to finish the day with beds made, the kitchen functional and the television working — so the first night in the new place feels like arriving somewhere, not camping in a maze of boxes.
