We plan for it. We assign enough crew to finish inside the window, stage items near the elevator so it runs continuously, and arrive early enough to have floor protection down before the window opens.

Do you charge extra for stairs or a long walk to the truck?

No surprise fees. Stairs and long carries are assessed during your walkthrough and priced into the flat rate, so the number you are quoted is the number you pay. Unexpected stair and long-carry charges are one of the most common complaints in this industry and we do not run that way.

Apartment and condo moves are rarely difficult because of the furniture. They are difficult because of the building: a four-hour elevator reservation, a COI the management office needs 72 hours in advance, a loading zone two hundred feet from the door, and an HOA that does not allow moves on Sundays.
